Lionsgate has provided us with the new poster for Saw V, opening in theaters on October 24. Directed by David Hackl, the fifth installment stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Julie Benz, Greg Bryk, Laura Gordon and Meagan Good.
In the film, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

I just thought of a mime when I saw this poster. I think this series needs to stop.

it will end with another movie, SAW V1, next year

I liked the teaser poster better. The one with Hoffman wearing Jigsaw's face as a mask.
That one was awesome.

Back in the 80s, early 90s it was about about showing as much skin as possible on screen. Now blood and gore is the new porn

Boycott Liongate - they can release a fifth SAW but can't even release MidnightMeat Train in wide release? Screw Lionsgate.

um, i dont think the "you wont believe how it ends" has to do with SAW....i think it has more to do with the dude with the tank around his head....besides ive heard they already have ideas for saw 6 and 7.... cheaply produced movies that bring in lots of money will keep going and going and going .....ive enjoyed all the SAW movies to date, still havent fully caught SAW IV

I think the tagline just refers to the film, not the series.
Posted by: baba on August 28, 2008 at 17:21:34
I don't think "you won't believe how it ends" refers to the series, but rather just the movie itself.

aja....Thats becasue Midnight Meat Train garggles my balls!!! :) Saw is sweet! Can't wait!!!!

I mean SHOWTIME.

I've loved all the Saw movies they deliver everything I want in a horror movie: gore, great tension, scenes that make me cringe like that damn needle pit in the 2nd one, great twist endings, to me that is the definition of a horror film. So whatever keep them coming as long as they stay good.
If Saw V keeps it up then it will have the record for my favorite stream of movies, Friday The 13th has it with the first 4, after that they became garbage.

I believe it ends with the Saw theme and some crazy revelation that we didn't know when the movie started. Because that's how they all end. Unless it ends with the good guys getting away. Now THAT would be shocking

i'd rather watch Zack and Miri make a porno.
end of discussion

Right-o then. Please let this be the last one. PLEASE. I mean c'mon, your antagonist has been DEAD FOR TWO MOVIES NOW. Either Jigsaw was running a bloody school for his apprentices, or that idea is gonna get old real quick.

Why do people go into articles about movies that they have no intention of seeing only to post negative comments about a movie that has not been released to be seen?
Need attention much?

Ok people... Obviously people like these movies or else they wouldn't waste their time making them. I am one of those people that enjoy these movies because it is something original in each film of the Saw series. They always find a good way to add a new character and make them a part of Jigsaws game. Very well written and made movies. Now I will give the haters something... The acting isn't always there... But with a little open mind... There isn't anything you can't really not enjoy about these films. I for one am excited to see how they surprise us with this new one. So if you really don't want to see this movie... Then don't right on this comment board... So logical and easy to do... So do it!

I have this crazy notion... why don't... the people who don't like these movies... simply not watch them... then all the people who actually like these movies can enjoy them without your INCESSANT *****ING.

where there are message boards, there are self indulgent whiners saying the same s--t no matter what the subject matter. They say the same thing when a Saw movie is coming out, they say the same thing when an actor is cast as a superhero and they say the same thing when a movie they think is bad ends up as #1 in the box office.

I hope that this 1 is great. The last 1 was excellent. As long as they have good story lines they should carry them on, unlike the halloween franchise that went on too long and only having 1 good sequel (H20).
