Man with sax killed by semi-trailer

The RCMP have identified a man with a saxophone who was struck and killed by a semi-trailer near Swift Current, Sask., last week.

The man wasn't carrying identification when he was hit on the highway by the eastbound vehicle Thursday. He was killed instantly.

On the weekend, police used fingerprints to determine his identity.

He's a 24-year-old from Alberta. Police aren't releasing his name until family members have been notified. 

According to police, he had a saxophone with him when he was killed.

The driver of the semi, a 47-year-old man from Manitoba, wasn't injured, the RCMP said.
