Evacuation after powder discovery

Stonehaven incident
The council building in Cameron Street was evacuated

A building in Stonehaven has been evacuated after a suspicious powder was discovered.

Aberdeenshire Council's Criminal Justice Department in the town's Cameron Street was cleared "as a precautionary measure".

It was not known if anyone had been injured.

Fire crews from Stonehaven and Aberdeen were called to the scene of what was described as a chemical incident. No further details were available.
