Mischa Dropped from “Malice”?

Pretty-Scary.net is reporting that Mischa Barton’s has been replaced in Malice in Wonderland. According to their source (Carol Ash, a producer on the film), Maggie Grace will be taking over the role due to "scheduling conflicts" on Mischa’s behalf.
Carol Ash describes Maggie Grace in the role as the "sexiest female lead since Tomb Raider." All the familiar Lewis Carroll characters will remain in the adaptation, but their names will be updated. The White Rabbit becomes Whitey, the hip drug dealer, for example. The film will be a mroe surreal (vs fantasy) dark film.
Malice in Wonderland is set to begin filming in Northern England this summer for 5 weeks and to come out in 2009. No confirmation, yet, if Mischa is indeed being replaced in this film.

I can confirm that it is true, as I’ve just finished 4 days of filming for the movie.
Maggie makes a fantastic Alice.

That’s sooo lame. Mischa has been attached to this project since 2005!
