The Drudge Report announced that radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh has signed a new contract worth over $400 million, which will extend through 2016. The deal for Limbaugh is with Premiere Radio and Clear Channel.
In a hit piece on Limbaugh this coming weekend by the New York Times (NYSE: NYT), they will claim Limbaugh has received a 9-figure signing bonus and he is buying a G550 jet, while making $38 million a year.
As you can see in the photo below, Limbaugh is portrayed as a Godfather-like figure in the Times, with as The Drudge Report says, in a "dark and sinister" persona. Sounds like envy from the liberal and fading Times.
When considering the new contract for Limbaugh, it makes him worth about 20 percent of what the New York Times is currently worth at today's market value of the company of about $2.19 billion.
In the spirit of Matt Drudge himself, the article notes the triumph of Rush Limbaugh over the established liberal media, as he embraced the spirit of the heartland of American and said what they were really thinking and feeling.

To me if fairly to spit on a current-show and the more so on the leader!
