Yeah, there is cheating on tests, but less of it this year on the entrance exams for Chinese universities.
Out of every 10,000, 2.6 examinees were caught cheating. That's good news. It used to be more than three.
New technology:

3. mobile phone detectors
4. wireless signal screens
were employed in the battle of the fraud.
Talk about big brother watching. In 16 provinces and regions test takers could be monitored on large screens by the National Education Examination Authorities in Beijing.
Local exam HQs in 31 other provinces and regions could also watch via a monitoring system.
In one instance, three students were caught using special earplugs to receive answers from outside. I think those kids should get some points for being able to do that, no?
Patrolling vans traced signals from the exam hall to a nearby hotel room. Busted!
Ten million students competed for six million seats at universities throughout the country.
At least 2.6 in 10,000 of them aren't going anywhere.
